Could amino acids shield kidneys during life support?

Summary
This study tests whether giving amino acids (protein building blocks) through a vein can help prevent or reduce acute kidney injury in adults on ECMO life support. About 40 intensive care patients will receive either amino acids or a placebo. The goal is to see if this simple treatment can improve kidney function and reduce the need for dialysis.
