Eye scan could spot Alzheimer's without brain scans
NCT ID NCT06514001
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests a single injection of AMDX-2011P, a dye that may stick to Alzheimer's-related plaques in the retina. Researchers want to see if it is safe and can detect these plaques using eye imaging. 25 adults with confirmed Alzheimer's will participate. If successful, this could lead to a simpler, less expensive way to diagnose Alzheimer's.
