New alternating treatment schedule aims to improve outcomes for advanced cancer patients
NCT ID NCT05358548
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study is testing a new way to give chemotherapy and immunotherapy for people with advanced lung or head and neck cancers. Instead of giving both treatments together every time, the plan alternates cycles of chemo plus immunotherapy with immunotherapy alone. The goal is to see if this schedule helps patients complete more treatment cycles and improves how well the cancer responds. About 150 adults with these cancers will take part.
