Fasting before chemo: a new way to ease side effects?

NCT ID NCT05990426

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study looks at whether alternate day fasting (eating very little every other day) before chemotherapy can help reduce side effects and improve quality of life for women with ovarian, endometrial, or uterine cancer. About 30 women who have had surgery and are about to start chemo will be randomly assigned to either fast or eat normally. The main goal is to see if the fasting plan is safe and doable, and to gather information for larger future studies.
