First seen Feb 19, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 12 times

Summary

This study tests whether adding two supplements (NAC and EH-301) to standard ALS medication (riluzole) can slow down the disease or improve symptoms. About 90 people with early-stage ALS will receive either the active combination or a placebo for 6 months, followed by an optional 6-month open-label phase where everyone gets the active treatment. The goal is to see if the combination helps maintain daily function and muscle strength.
