First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 26, 2026
Summary
This pilot study is testing a peptide vaccine designed to prevent or delay resistance in people with advanced ALK-positive lung cancer who are already on targeted therapy. The vaccine targets ALK protein mutations to boost the immune system. The study will enroll 12 participants and primarily check for safety and immune response.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
Peptide vaccine
What this could lead to
If it works, this vaccine could help delay or prevent resistance to ALK-targeted therapy, potentially extending the time patients benefit from their current treatment.
What could go wrong
This is a very early, small pilot study with only 12 participants. The vaccine may not trigger a strong enough immune response or could cause side effects. Success is uncertain.
