Scientists test if a drink calms the shakes

NCT ID NCT06403280

Summary

This study aims to understand how alcohol affects shaking in people with different tremor conditions like essential tremor, dystonia, and Parkinson's disease. Participants will drink either an alcoholic beverage or a non-alcoholic placebo on separate days while researchers measure their tremor with sensors and clinical exams. The goal is to see if alcohol reduces tremor more than a placebo and if the effect differs between tremor types.
