Summary
This study tests whether cameras, motion sensors, and other monitors can automatically detect signs of pain, delirium, and physical decline in critically ill patients. Researchers will collect video, movement, noise, light, and vital sign data from 400 adults in the ICU. The goal is to train artificial intelligence to recognize these conditions more consistently than busy nurses can. If it works, the system could alert staff to problems earlier and improve patient care.
