Summary

This study tested whether an AI tool that predicts the risk of kidney transplant failure within one year can improve conversations between patients, their families, and doctors. 76 adults with a functioning kidney transplant but declining kidney function took part. The goal was to see if the AI helped them make shared decisions about what to do if the transplant eventually fails.
