First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This completed study surveyed 51 men with localized prostate cancer and their healthcare providers in Belgium, Italy, and Spain. The goal was to understand how acceptable artificial intelligence (AI) is as a tool to help diagnose prostate cancer, and whether people are willing to share their health data to develop such AI. Participants filled out an online questionnaire about their views on AI benefits, risks, and their intentions to use it.

What this could lead to
If successful, this research could help design AI tools that patients and doctors trust, improving prostate cancer diagnosis.
What could go wrong
This is a small, completed survey study. It does not test any treatment or AI tool itself, so results may not apply to real-world use.
