First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests an artificial intelligence system that helps emergency doctors make decisions. Researchers will check if the AI improves accuracy and reduces time spent in the emergency department. About 20,000 adults will take part at one hospital in Israel.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

Artificial intelligence (large language model) clinical decision support system
What this could lead to
If successful, this could show that AI can help emergency doctors make faster and more accurate decisions, potentially improving patient care and reducing wait times.
What could go wrong
This is an early-stage study that only tests the AI's recommendations against actual outcomes. The AI may not improve care or could give incorrect advice. Results may not apply to other hospitals.
