NCT ID NCT07485400

First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study will compare two types of aerobic exercise—interval training and continuous training—in 48 people with stable coronary artery disease. Participants will exercise twice a week for 8 weeks as part of a cardiac rehab program. Researchers will measure heart efficiency, exercise tolerance, blood pressure, and quality of life to see which approach works better.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance

aerobic exercise training (interval or continuous)

What this could lead to

If successful, this could show that one type of aerobic exercise is better for improving heart efficiency and daily function in people with heart disease.

What could go wrong

This is a small, early-stage trial with only 48 participants, so results may not apply to everyone. The study is not yet recruiting, and the intervention is exercise, not a drug, so benefits may be modest.
