One scan, double the detection: could a quick belly CT save more lives?
NCT ID NCT07171190
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 06, 2026 · Updated 31 times
Summary
This study looks at whether adding a quick, no-needle CT scan of the belly to the standard lung cancer screening can help find kidney cancer, enlarged blood vessels, and kidney stones early. About 6,200 smokers aged 55-70 will take part. The goal is to see if the extra scan is practical, doesn't slow things down, and is okay with patients.
