First seen Sep 30, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study tests a special camera called adaptive optics to take detailed pictures of the retina, the light-sensitive part at the back of the eye. Researchers want to see if this method can find eye diseases earlier than standard exams. About 1,000 people aged 12 and older, including those with eye diseases and healthy volunteers, will have their eyes imaged after dilation. The goal is to improve how doctors diagnose and manage retinal conditions.
