First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study tests whether a gentle electrical current applied to specific skin spots (AcuTENS) can reduce pain and anxiety during a prostate biopsy. About 53 men having their first biopsy will receive either real or fake TENS alongside standard numbing. The goal is to see if this simple, low-risk technique improves comfort during the procedure.
