Touch therapy tames Pre-Surgery jitters in bladder surgery patients
NCT ID NCT05325307
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tested whether acupressure, a technique that applies gentle pressure to specific points on the body, can lower anxiety and steady vital signs in people about to have bladder removal surgery (cystectomy). Sixty adults participated, and researchers measured their anxiety levels and things like heart rate and blood pressure before and after the treatment. The goal was to see if this simple, non-drug method could help patients feel calmer before a major operation.
