First seen Feb 27, 2026 · Last updated May 30, 2026 · Updated 14 times

Summary

This study tests whether applying mild electrical stimulation to specific acupoints on the wrist before anesthesia can help prevent dangerous drops in blood pressure during surgery. Researchers will compare two different stimulation frequencies in 84 adults aged 65 and older. The goal is to find a simple, non-drug way to keep blood pressure stable during anesthesia induction.
