New scan could spot prostate cancer more accurately
NCT ID NCT07559201
First seen May 10, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study aims to see if a new type of PET/CT scan that targets a protein called ACP3 can find prostate cancer tumors as well as or better than current scans. About 100 adults with newly diagnosed or recurring prostate cancer will receive both the new ACP3 scan and standard PSMA/FDG scans. The results will help determine if the ACP3 scan is a reliable tool for detecting cancer lesions.
