NCT ID NCT05340582

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether giving two medicines (acetaminophen and ibuprofen) together works better than ibuprofen alone to close a common heart blood vessel in extremely premature infants (born before 27 weeks). About 310 babies will take part. The goal is to see if the combo reduces death or severe lung disease, and improves development at 18-30 months.
