New xenon MRI could spot lung damage in kids after transplant
Diagnosis Recruiting nowThis study is testing whether a special MRI using xenon gas can better detect bronchiolitis obliterans syndrome (BOS), a serious lung condition, in children who have had a stem-cell transplant. Fifteen children aged 6 to 17 will undergo breathing tests and the xenon MRI. The goal…

Can a simple home breathing test catch lung trouble early in transplant patients?
Knowledge-focused Recruiting nowThis study follows 250 people who have had a donor stem cell transplant to see if respiratory viruses lead to a lung condition called bronchiolitis obliterans syndrome (BOS). Participants use a handheld device at home to measure lung function and provide nasal swabs and blood sam…

New MRI technique could spot lung trouble early in transplant patients
Knowledge-focused Recruiting nowThis study is testing a new type of MRI that uses xenon gas to see how well the lungs are working in people who have had a bone marrow transplant. Researchers will scan 25 transplant patients with or without lung problems, plus 10 healthy volunteers. The goal is to see if this MR…

New scan technique could spot lung trouble early in transplant patients
Knowledge-focused Recruiting nowThis study looks at whether a special CT scan analysis called parametric response mapping (PRM) can detect early signs of chronic lung disease in people who have had a stem cell transplant. Researchers will follow 375 patients for one year to see if PRM patterns predict lung func…
