First seen Apr 21, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study tests whether taking 75 mg of zinc daily can improve immune function in people with HIV who still have low CD4 counts despite effective antiretroviral therapy. Researchers will randomly assign 120 participants to receive zinc supplements or continue their usual care. The goal is to see if zinc can increase CD4 cells, reduce inflammation, and improve quality of life.
