First seen Apr 21, 2026 · Last updated Apr 26, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tests whether taking 75 mg of zinc daily can improve immune function in people with HIV whose CD4 counts remain low despite antiretroviral therapy. About 120 participants will be randomly assigned to receive zinc or continue their usual care. The goal is to see if zinc increases CD4 cells, reduces inflammation, and improves quality of life.
