New drug aims to calm inflammation in kidney patients

Summary
This study tested a drug called Ziltivekimab in 264 people with advanced chronic kidney disease and high inflammation. The goal was to find the best dose to lower inflammation and reduce heart risks. Participants received monthly injections of either 7.5 mg, 15 mg, or 30 mg of the drug or a placebo for six months.
