First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 30 times
Summary
This pilot study involved 6 healthy women who ate biscuits made with a special type of wheat bran that can be traced in the body. Researchers collected breath, urine, blood, and stool samples over 24 hours to measure how the bran is fermented in the gut. The goal was to identify new biomarkers that could help evaluate the health effects of dietary fiber and refine nutrition guidelines.
