First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 29 times
Summary
This study looked at how the body breaks down wheat bran fiber in 6 healthy women. Participants ate special biscuits made with labeled wheat bran, and researchers measured the fiber's byproducts in breath, urine, blood, and stool over 24 hours. The goal was to find new markers that show how fiber is fermented in the gut, which could help make better diet recommendations.
