Scientists probe link between weight loss and arthritis relief
NCT ID NCT07443956
Summary
This study aims to understand how weight loss (using the medication tirzepatide) and the arthritis drug ixekizumab change the skin, joint, and fat tissues in people with psoriatic arthritis and obesity. Researchers will take small tissue samples from 45 participants before and after 12 weeks of treatment to analyze these changes. The goal is to learn more about the biology of the disease, not to test how well the treatments work for symptoms.
