Scientists probe link between weight loss and arthritis relief

NCT ID NCT07443956

Summary

This study aims to understand how weight loss (using a medication called tirzepatide) and an arthritis drug (ixekizumab) change the body's tissues in people with psoriatic arthritis and obesity. Researchers will take small samples of skin, joint, and fat tissue from 45 participants before and after treatment to see what happens at a molecular level. The goal is to gather knowledge about how these treatments work, not to test their effectiveness for symptom relief.
