Mayo clinic tests voice analysis as a new way to spot pulmonary hypertension

NCT ID NCT07311044

First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study aims to see if voice recordings can help detect pulmonary hypertension, a serious heart and lung condition. Researchers at Mayo Clinic will collect voice samples from 7,000 people already scheduled for an echocardiogram. They will compare voice patterns to standard test results to see if voice analysis can be a simple, non-invasive screening tool.
