Daily pills to fight colds? massive study tests vitamin d & fish oil
NCT ID NCT01758081
Summary
This study is checking if taking daily vitamin D or fish oil (omega-3) supplements can help prevent common infections in generally healthy adults. It involves over 25,000 people who are already part of a larger trial testing these supplements for other health benefits. Researchers will track how often participants get infections like colds, urinary tract infections, and pneumonia to see if the supplements make a difference.
