Daily supplements tested as shield against colds and infections

NCT ID NCT01758081

Summary

This study is checking if taking daily vitamin D or fish oil (omega-3) supplements can help prevent common infections in generally healthy adults. It involves over 25,000 people who are already part of a larger health study. Researchers will track how often participants get sick with things like colds, urinary tract infections, or pneumonia to see if the supplements make a difference.
