First seen Mar 05, 2026 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 10 times

Summary

This study tests whether taking a weekly dose of vitamin D, adjusted to reach a target blood level, can help control blood sugar in 100 adults aged 30-74 with prediabetes. Participants are randomly assigned to receive either vitamin D or a placebo for about 18 months. The main goal is to see if vitamin D increases the time blood sugar stays in a healthy range.
