This study looked at whether taking vitamin D supplements can improve how well chemotherapy works for people with stage II or III colorectal cancer. Researchers measured markers of cell death and inflammation in 44 patients before and after 6 months of treatment. The goal was to see if vitamin D could help control the disease better.
