Summary
This study looked at whether taking vitamin D supplements can improve tumor response and reduce inflammation in people with stage II or III colorectal cancer who are receiving chemotherapy. The researchers measured two markers in the blood: one for cell death (BAX protein) and one for inflammation (TNF-α). The study included 44 patients and lasted 6 months.
