Can Vitamin-Fortified broth fight deficiency? new study tests absorption
NCT ID NCT06438562
Summary
This study measured how well the body absorbs vitamin A when it's added to bouillon cubes, a potential strategy to combat vitamin A deficiency in low-income countries. Researchers compared absorption from three different fortified bouillon formulations against a standard oil-based vitamin A supplement. Healthy adult women participated, consuming the different formulations while researchers tracked vitamin A levels in their blood over 24 hours.
