Scientists scan brains to uncover the mystery of visual snow

NCT ID NCT06961864

First seen Jan 19, 2026 · Last updated Jun 22, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study aims to understand what causes Visual Snow Syndrome (VSS), a condition where people see constant flickering dots across their vision. Researchers will use brain scans and visual tests to find which brain pathways are involved. About 100 adults with VSS, migraine, or healthy vision will participate. The goal is to learn more about the condition, not to test a treatment.
