First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 27 times

Summary

This study tested a new way of using a breathing machine (ventilator) called VentCoach, designed to better protect the lungs of patients with severe breathing problems. 18 adults on ventilators for over 24 hours were included. The main goal was to see if doctors could follow the VentCoach plan and reduce stress on the lungs compared to standard care.
