New ventilator coach aims to shield lungs in critical care
NCT ID NCT07294768
Summary
This study tested a new ventilator guidance system called VentCoach, designed to better protect patients' lungs while they are on breathing machines in the intensive care unit. Researchers compared VentCoach to the standard ventilator settings currently used in the hospital. The goal was to see if this new approach is practical and safe for adults with severe breathing failure who need a ventilator for more than a day.
