New hope for rare leukemia: targeted pill shows promise in relapsed patients

Summary
This study tests a daily pill called venetoclax in 20 adults whose hairy cell leukemia has returned after prior treatment. The drug blocks a protein that helps cancer cells survive. Researchers will measure how many patients achieve remission and how long the benefits last.
