New device aims to make dialysis access last longer

Summary
This study tests a device called VasQ, which is placed around a surgically created blood vessel connection (fistula) used for dialysis. The goal is to see if VasQ helps the fistula work better and sooner for dialysis. About 300 adults with end-stage kidney disease will be randomly assigned to receive either a standard fistula or one supported by VasQ, and will be followed for 12 months.
