First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 34 times
Summary
This study looks at whether a protein called vasorin can help doctors tell the difference between septic shock (caused by infection) and other types of shock. Researchers will measure vasorin levels in 144 intensive care patients with either septic or non-septic shock. If vasorin proves reliable, it could lead to faster, more accurate diagnosis and reduce unnecessary antibiotic use.
