First seen Jan 16, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study tests whether the antibiotic vancomycin can safely improve symptoms of ulcerative colitis in adults who also have a liver condition called primary sclerosing cholangitis. Fourteen participants will take vancomycin or a placebo for 4 weeks, with an option for 4 more weeks of vancomycin. The main goal is to see if the study is feasible and safe, and to look for early signs of benefit.
