Summary
This study tested whether taking two blood pressure medicines together works better than taking just one for people with heart disease caused by high blood pressure. 118 adults aged 18-70 took either a combination of valsartan and hydrochlorothiazide or valsartan alone for 8 weeks. The goal was to see which approach controls blood pressure and reduces heart damage more effectively.
