Brain study seeks to unravel mysteries of reaching and seeing
NCT ID NCT03286686
First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 25 times
Summary
This study looks at how a part of the brain called the posterior parietal cortex helps us combine vision and body position to reach for objects. Researchers will compare people with optic ataxia (a condition that affects reaching) and healthy volunteers using simple behavioral tests. The goal is to better understand how this brain area works and how its damage affects daily life.
