Summary
This study uses a special high-frequency ultrasound to look at the gums of 40 people—some with gingivitis (early gum disease) and some with healthy gums. The goal is to see how inflammation changes the structure and blood flow of gum tissue. Researchers hope this will help them better understand and detect gum disease earlier.
