Sound waves to soothe arthritis? new study explores Non-Invasive treatment
NCT ID NCT06555562
Summary
This study is testing whether a non-invasive, focused ultrasound treatment can reduce inflammation in people with certain types of inflammatory arthritis. Participants, including healthy volunteers and people with psoriatic arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, or ankylosing spondylitis, received several ultrasound sessions. Researchers measured changes in inflammatory markers in the blood before and after treatment to see if the ultrasound had an effect.
