Summary
This study tested whether taking two antibiotics instead of three is just as effective but easier to tolerate for people with a chronic lung infection called MAC. 474 adults with MAC lung disease were randomly assigned to receive either a two-drug or three-drug antibiotic regimen for 12 months. The goal was to see if the two-drug option could clear the infection with fewer side effects like nausea and fatigue.
