NCT ID NCT03672630
First seen Feb 02, 2026 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 16 times
Summary
This study tested whether taking two antibiotics instead of the usual three is just as effective for treating a lung infection called MAC, while causing fewer side effects. About 474 adults with MAC lung disease were assigned to either a two-drug or three-drug regimen for 12 months. The goal was to see if the simpler treatment could clear the infection and be easier to tolerate.
