First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 19, 2026 · Updated 33 times

Summary

This study tested a new way to deliver chemotherapy directly to the tumor in adults with malignant pleural mesothelioma that cannot be removed by surgery. The treatment, called transarterial chemoperfusion, uses a combination of three drugs (cisplatin, methotrexate, and gemcitabine) to control the disease. The goal was to see if this approach is safe and effective at stopping the cancer from growing.
