First seen Jan 31, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 15 times
Summary
This study looks at a procedure called total pancreatectomy with islet autotransplantation (TPIAT) in 30 adults with pancreatic or nearby tumors who are at high risk for a leak after standard surgery. The goal is to see if removing the whole pancreas and transplanting the patient's own insulin-making cells is safe and helps control the disease. Participants will be followed for complications, hospital stay, and metabolic outcomes.
