First seen Jan 08, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study tests whether replacing a standard immune-suppressing drug with tocilizumab can prevent stem cell transplant failure and graft-versus-host disease in people with blood cancers. About 21 participants receive a haplo-cord transplant, where stem cells from a half-matched donor and a cord blood unit are used. The goal is to improve immune recovery and reduce cancer relapse while keeping transplant complications low.
